Plants vs Allergies

In an effort to live well and BREATHE well, I decided to take care of indoor plants. They're  good for the environment and good to look at home, plus it's only about a tenth of the price of an air purifyer which costs not less than a thousand dirhams😉.

As Dubai rose to economic success with great progress in different industries, so did my allergies' development. I have always suffered allergic rhinitis for as long as I can remember, but the last three years have been the highlight of its existence, if I may say. I know there's no permanent cure to allergies as my doctor confirmed it as well. So, I've embarked on a journey to discover how to eliminate allergens in a natural and economical way! After looking up for several good air purifying plants in the internet, I have  narrowed it down to two, based on their rankings on recommendations and their beauty. They are:

Peace Lily - proven to purify indoor air of contaminants by NASA Clean Air Study, according to plantshop.ae, where I bought the plant. Reading that, plus other statements in the interweb made me buy it.

Areca Palm - said to be a natural humidifier, it was my second choice because I also read its name many times in the internet and I think it will look nice in the living room.

Even Google assistant suggested them to me when I asked her.
Both of them are low maintenance which means they should survive with little water and sunlight. I know some people prefer and are more fulfilled buying seeds or a grafted plant first, but I need clean air now and knowing my gardening skills (or my lack of it), their survival rate is higher if I get them as a 20cm potted plant than if I adopt them as babies😌.
